Simple, thoughtful and engaging social justice
skill-building activities, all kid-focused.
Level Up is a new program for tweens (and their families!) to learn about social justice and local community action projects through simple, fun and enlightening group-based play.
How it Works
Curated activities assembled by educators and justice advocates
Small group format to promote relationship-building
At-home curriculum for families to extend the learning with families

What will your child learn?
The curriculum is designed around six key skills:
Our thoughts, feelings and emotions
Our beliefs and mindset
Empathy and privilege
Conflict resolution and restorative justice
Our strengths and group power
Community development and leadership
Why join now?
A program on the topic of social justice and civic action meets the needs of community members who are increasingly recognizing their role in acting on injustice in our society and are looking for ways to get involved.
Level Up introduces kids (aged 9-12 years) and their families to important concepts necessary for building a social justice practice. Kids build relationships with each other over issues of common interest, connect with their parents about steps they can take together while introducing them to active changemakers in their own community and their projects.
What parents have to say
“This was an extracurricular activity like no other! The hands-on activities – making emotion potions, art and privilege walks in the community - kept young hands busy and minds engaged. The workbook gave a thorough preview of each day’s content and was excellent preparation for the follow up discussions we had together as a family.”
“Our 10-year-old daughter participated in Level Up and absolutely loved it. Through the various fun activities and trips into the community, she built a greater awareness and understanding of struggles and challenges many people (including herself) face, in a way that left her feeling more empathetic and motivated to make a difference. The program also helped spark many productive dinner conversations around topics such as privilege and how each family member experiences it differently.””
